ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT


Environmental management system (EMS) refers to the management of an organization's environmental programs in a comprehensive, systematic, planned and documented manner. It includes the organizational structure, planning and resources for developing, implementing and maintaining policy for environmental protection.

More formally, EMS is a system and database which integrates procedures and processes for training of personnel, monitoring, summarizing, and reporting of specialized environmental performance information to internal and external stakeholders of a firm.

The most widely used standard on which an EMS is based is International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001.

PT. Sejahtera Alam Energy is a national private company engaged in the utilization of geothermal energy for electricity.

PT. Sejahtera Alam Energy is committed to the occupational health and safety for our employees, customers, contractors and our local community.

The occupational health and safety are given extreme considerations in the planning and execution of all work activities at our facilities.

PT. Sejahtera Alam Energy has a vision and mission:

Vision: Providing utilization of geothermal energy for national electricity.

Mission: Local communities involvement to develop and carry out the utilization of geothermal energy to the national electricity.

In every activities of PT. Sejahtera Alam Energy and its contractors are determined:

  1. To obey all legal and other regulation of occupational health and safety and other applicable provisions;
  2. To Identify hazards, risk assessment and determine control to all work activities;
  3. To set the objectives, targets and programs of occupational health and safety;
  4. To conduct the continuous improvement by conducting self-assessments, regular inspections and utilizing external audits;
  5. To prevent accidents and ill health;

PT. Sejahtera Alam Energy has a foundation of trust and empowers all employees with the power to stop work if they believe conditions are unsafe. Each employee has a responsibility to ensure safe work environments exist at all times.

DRUGS AND ALCOHOL POLICY STATEMENT

 

Consuming of alcohol  in  PT. Sejahtera Alam Energy’s areas are strictly prohibited. Employees who are found to consume alcohol during work will be dismissed from the company.

Employees of  PT. Sejahtera Alam Energy and its contractors are driving a vehicle while on duty  in the influence of alcohol will be dismissed from the company.

The ownership and using of illicit drugs and their derivatives will be dismissed from the company.

For the employees of  PT. Sejahtera Alam Energy and its contractors who have problems with drugs immediately assistance or treatment to the physician.
